Atelier Rorona OST samples up

For those yet unaware, samples of the Atelier Rorona soundtrack have gone up on the official OST site.

http://shop.salburg.com/product/rorona_ost/number.htm

I suspected it from the back to the Atelier roots style that this game is adopting and from the 3 samples already on the game's official site but now it's pretty much confirmed for me, Nakagawa IS going back to a more traditional Atelier style and dropping that experimental, synth style of MK1&2 and ATII that irritated me so much. The tracklist I presume is like Nakagawa's previous solo soundtrack and the battle themes are crammed together near the end. Very pleased to hear the battle themes maintain the feel of the rest of the soundtrack and don't betray it with electric guitars and rock drums (which may be why Achiwa is not present on this soundtrack).

The samples are reminiscient of not only the Atelier Iris soundtracks but also that of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles which was one of my very favourite video game soundtracks ever, it was a true delight to listen to with the entire soundtrack performed by real ancient instruments, a very recommended listen for fans of more simple, acoustic music. I was very disappointed when the sequels to Crystal Chronicles decided to adopt the more generic, cliched orchestral style but it seems I may get something similar here.

After hearing these, I do have very high hopes for the Rorona soundtrack. Grand Fantasm, I felt contained Nakagawa's best work to date but it seems that he may surpass that in Rorona. YesAsia finally put it up and I have preordered it (along with Sanmon Gossip, Shiina Ringo's upcoming album which will be released on the same day). My anticipation for June 26th is becoming overwhelming!
